Greetings, Barbarian players! Season 12 has already been underway for half a month—have you found your ultimate build yet? If not, then the build guide D4gold is about to share is sure to come in handy!

That’s right, today we are presenting Leapquake Barbarian build. As it stands, this is arguably one of the best farming builds that no player should miss out on. It performs exceptionally well in Helltides and handles high-difficulty endgame content, such as Infernal Hordes and Nightmare Dungeons, with effortless ease; you can even use it to push into the higher tiers of The Pit.

Why Choose Leapquake Barbarian Build?

However, Leapquake Barbarian build’s greatest strength lies not in pushing through endgame progression, but in rapidly farming Diablo 4 items. If you are in urgent need of Obducites, in particular, this is absolutely the build for you.

You simply leap around the map; all nearby monsters are instantly pulled toward you, followed by a massive slam that utterly pulverizes them. This is precisely why this build excels so remarkably in speed-farming efficiency. So, go ahead, leap to your heart’s content across the entire map!

Leapquake Barbarian is incredibly efficient at clearing out all manner of monsters and gathering resources throughout the game. Its only minor drawback might be when facing Torment-level bosses. Aside from that, this build is virtually flawless. If you could only choose one build to play this season and you wanted that build to be capable of handling as many of the game’s various challenges as possible, then Leapquake Barbarian build shared by D4gold is undoubtedly your best choice.

Gear

For the gear setup required for this build, please refer to the following selections.

Godslayer Crown

First up, regarding the helmet slot, we have chosen Godslayer Crown. This helmet is fantastic because it allows you to concentrate all of your damage output into your Leapquake ability. For Leapquake Barbarian, this helmet is an indispensable piece of gear for solving their greatest challenge: how to effectively group up monsters to maximize damage output.

The unique feature of Godslayer Crown is this: whenever the player takes damage, it automatically pulls nearby enemies toward an Elite monster or Boss. This effectively corrals enemies directly into the player’s Leapquake damage zone, thereby boosting DPS by up to 60%.

Although other helmets, such as Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty, might offer minor defensive stats or Berserking buffs, from the perspective of optimizing Leapquake damage output, Godslayer Crown’s combination of damage amplification and crowd control capabilities is generally considered the superior choice.

However, if you intend to challenge Lair Bosses or push high tiers in The Pit, you must swap to Ugly Bastard Helm. This is because when facing high-difficulty bosses, Godslayer Crown becomes completely ineffective. If you do not yet own this helmet, you can buy cheap Diablo 4 items directly from D4GOLD, you can find all the gear you need right here!

Warlord Boots

For the boots slot, we have chosen Warlord Boots, imprinted with Wildbolt Aspect, over Penitent Greaves. While both options are viable, Warlord Boots provide crucial offensive stats and Core Skill Rank bonuses; these attributes contribute a greater damage boost to Leapquake skill than the damage bonus provided by Chilled effect from Penitent Greaves.

It is also worth noting that Warlord Boots free up flexible Legendary Aspect slots, and since we rarely run out of Fury, this is critical for maximizing the trigger frequency of Leapquake skill.

Mantle of Mountain’s Fury

Next, we have Mantle of Mountain’s Fury, unique chest armor designed to significantly amplify the synergy between Earthquake and Hammer of the Ancients skills. It acts as a detonator: by casting Hammer of the Ancients, the player triggers any existing Leapquake zones on the battlefield, generating massive bursts of instantaneous damage that enable the player to efficiently clear high-tier challenges in The Pit.

This mechanism enables instantaneous, massive bursts of damage, eliminating the need – typical of standard Earthquake builds – to wait for Earthquake effect to slowly tick down and settle its damage over time; consequently, it excels particularly at clearing packs of high-health monsters.

Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus

Finally, we turn our attention to a weapon that is virtually indispensable for every Barbarian build in Season 12: Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus. This is because of its unique effect, which grants a massive multiplicative damage bonus for every point of Fury, offering a potential boost of up to 250%.

Thanks to its efficient damage-amplification mechanism, which scales based on your maximum resource capacity, this weapon allows Leapquake Barbarian build to maximize its damage output without the need for continuous Fury consumption. In this playstyle, centered around high mobility and Leapquake damage, it serves as a critical damage multiplier.

Although Ramaladni’s Magnum Opus remains classified as a one-handed weapon in Season 12, its immense damage potential ensures it remains highly prized and is frequently paired by players with skills specifically designed for two-handed weapons. As for your choice of two-handed weapon, you are free to select one that suits your preference; however, ensure that at least one of your two-handed weapons possesses a Lucky Hit capable of rendering enemies vulnerable.

Beyond the gear mentioned above, you are entirely free to customize the remaining equipment slots to align with your personal playstyle. If you have sufficient Diablo 4 gold, you might also aim to acquire unique items such as Chainscourged Mail and Fists of Fate to provide your build with additional Attack Speed and Critical Hit bonuses.

Skill Tree

Regarding the Skill Tree, Leapquake Barbarian build focuses on maximizing the efficacy of specific melee skills, particularly Leap and Challenging Shout, to trigger Leapquake effect and generate Fury, while simultaneously leveraging Walking Arsenal passive skill to achieve high damage output.

The core skill strategy involves heavily investing in passive skills such as Heavy Hitter, Heavy Handed, and Wallop, thereby significantly boosting both Leapquake damage and the raw power of your two-handed weapons. The specific skill point allocation is as follows:

  • Lunging Strike: 1
  • Hammer of the Ancients: 3
  • Tempered Fury: 3
  • Imposing Presence: 3

Paragon Board

Finally, D4gold would like to cover Paragon Board setup for Leapquake Barbarian build.

  • For the first board, we select Marshal. This serves to optimize the cooldown cycles of your Ultimate Skills, a nearly essential requirement for builds like Leapquake Barbarian that rely heavily on Shout skills.
  • For the second board, we select Force of Nature; by utilizing this board in conjunction with Rumble skill, we can continuously generate Dust Devils.
  • For the third board, we select Carnage and pair it with Wrath Glyph to significantly boost Critical Strike Damage.
  • For the fourth board, we select Blood Rage along with Challenger Glyph. This grants you a chance to trigger Berserking after killing a bleeding enemy.
  • For the final board, we select Weapon Master and Might Glyph, increasing the damage you deal to Injured and Healthy enemies by 75%.

Please prioritize selecting nodes that boost damage against Close enemies as well as Physical Damage, as the damage dealt by Leapquake mechanic is classified as Physical Damage within this build. Additionally, ensure you allocate enough points into Intelligence and Dexterity nodes to activate the bonus effects associated with each of your Glyphs.

In summary, Leapquake Barbarian is undoubtedly one of the most worthwhile speed-farming builds to try out in Season 12. It boasts not only immense power and explosive burst damage but also incredibly fast farming efficiency, making it an absolute blast to play.
